From my understanding she is the one doing everything in your camp, while you just hunt. She is a forgettable NPC, but so are all the others. She is also not a ♥♥♥♥♥, I like that she is optimistic instead of the kind of woman that is always complaining and putting flaws in everything. She works a lot, so I see no problem in she saying that “we did it”, when she is there on the camp keeping it organized. Said that, judging the character alone, by herself, I can see no flaw in her. Although there is some room to speculate that she was done that way, devoid of feminine sexiness, just because the game was made to be sold also in the West and they thought that we all follow the same feminist moralism about sexuality being “objectification” and people are fed up of trying to consume something artistic to be given a piece of political propaganda.
While she has no attractiveness, she is also not ugly. In the cart quest she is one of the people pushing the cart, so she is not afraid of physical labor.įrom my understanding the whole problem is that in previous games, which I didn’t play, the women doing her job were always very beautiful, being some kind of masturbatory sweetheart to many. Just started the game, but I have no problem with this character. they need this cliche drama to fill some space, which is not well executed but pretty understandable. i believe same goes for the story as well for this reason. they made it more 'casual' to play, say, chillshroom in front of volcano cave and scoutfly. all the old fans will like it old ways, difficult and stuff, including me. Why? well, because it attracts more customers. they even said they don't want MHW to depend much on older ones. they even decided not to call it 'Monster Hunter 5' but instead go with the current one. you're right, can't argue with that.īut i guess they've put MH on the new level of marketing, which also impact gameplay not just story. The old games didn't have much story and it wasn't forced on you, yet they were still more fun to play. but she's also far from perfect that's for damn sure. handler seems to tend to the latter, either because of her face texture or her personality.īut let's be honest, if we're just on our own slaughtering all monsters like an almighty protagonist, it wouldn't be as interesting. Most writing for movies or games will include characters with different traits to make it 'not bland', either in a good or bad way. she's just for the sake of story wise mate.
